Visakhapatnam “All India Youth Bus Yatra Campaign
Youth wing of RE&RF, sister organization of Brahma Kumaris started a National wide Youth Bus campaign in 2017 from Ahmadabad covering 7 states entered Andhra Pradesh and reached Visakhapatnam District on 17th August 2018. The all India Youth Bus Campaign exhibition is to create awareness and awaken youth with the topics related to cleanliness, positivity, yoga & meditation and take it to the masses of India for sharpening young minds. As a part of this campaign the youth rally bus visited the premises of Divisional Railway Manager office, East Coast Railways, Waltair Division to conduct awareness meeting and pass the message on the theme to wide range of people at office.
About 70 Kendriya Vidyalaya had chained them selves to welcome the All India Youth Bus Yatra bus at the DRM Office.
ADRM welcomed with potted flowers and presented memento and shawl to the yatri leader Sister BK Anitha and Yatra manager Sister BK Dr Pavan.
About 70 Officers/ Management staff and employees benefited the lecture rendered by BK Bus yatris.
Chief guest speech: Honarable Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of East Coast Railways Sri Mukul Sharan Matore assured to restore the values in Bharat, with this kind of Bus Yatra, they will definitely inspire millions of youth to follow right path of living. He expressed that it is everyone’s responsibility to bring a great change with self change and liked the beautiful slogan “mera Bharat – Swarnim Bharat”
Honorable Additional Divisional Railway Manager(ADRM) for Waltair division Sri Kuna Dhanunjaya Rao has complimented for the social awareness campaign by Brahma Kumaris in uplifting the values among the youth, by not only physical fitness but also achieve mental fitness with positive thinking. He expressed the concept of “Hum Fit tho Bharat Fit” as a great concept.

Visakhapatnam BKs does selfless service in Distributing self-make Reusable Cloth Masks to Anti Covid-19 Forces
In the wake of the pandemic COVID-19 virus,during this carona lockdown period, the Brahma Kumaris Rajayoga Center of Kurmannapalem, Visakhapatnam(Andhra Pradesh) lead by Sis BK Ramani on directions of Rajyogini Sis. BK Sasikala, stitched reusable cloth face masks with BK parivaar’s support and distributed thousands of masks, soaps and biscuits to the Anti-Covid 19 Forces, including Police, Traffic Staff and officials of the police department of Duvvada, GVMC public health Personnels, Home Guards of Kurmannapalem and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Jawans and Police of Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam.
1. Sis BK Ramani along with her team, distributed about 240 masks, in the presence of Law and Order Circle Insperctor Smt.T Lakshmi garu, and Traffic SI Smt Bangaru Papa to all the Police and Traffic staff of 120 members, at Duvvada police station.
2. About 160 Reusable cloth masks , soaps biscuits distributed to Kurmannapalem public health personnels in the presence of GVMC Asst. medical officer, Dr. Lakshmi Tulasi and Sister Bk Ramani.
3. Sis BK Ramani with parivaar’s support and distributed 600 reusable cloth masks to steel plant Home Guards, Ex- servicemen in the presence of Sri KC Das, Director(Personnel), Sri Debasis Ray ED(HR) of Vizag steel plant.
4. 104 reusable cloth masks & biscuits were distributed to steel plant police in the presence of Sri Syamala Rao, SI who are doing service in the critical time.
5. Sis BK Ramani, with parivaar’s support distributed 700 nos of reusable cloth masks to CISF Jawans, Vizag steel plant in the presence of Sri Irfan Ahmad, Commandant, In-Charge of Vizag Steel plant CISF.
All the VIP guests who participated the distribution of masks, has admired the services of Brahma Kumaris team for their intense and timely efforts during this pandemic period.
In this context Sister BK Ramani said “though there is no medicine or vaccine for the pandemic COVID-19, the only principle which we can follow at this context is “Prevention is better than cure”. To restrict the spread of COVID -19 virus from person to person during this lockdown period is, everyone should follow better hygiene, sanitary conditions, cleanliness, social distancing and usage of masks. The demanded product masks, due to scarcity many Anti-COVID fighters are risking their lives to save the public life. So, our objective is to serve these Anti-Covid forces with a pair of fine, durable, re-usable, long life cloth masks and other essentials while handling their duties”. Further, Sister BK Ramani has distrubuted about 400 cloth masks to BK parivaar for their safety, who has come from Mt Abu to Visakhapatanam in a special train arranged during lock down period by Central and State Governments.
